Your First Visit
As you enter the front door you will notice the pleasant decor and the warm feel of the office. The first person that you will see is Marie who is the front desk person and office manager. She will cheerfully greet you and answer any questions that you may have. She will also assist you with any paperwork that needs to be filled out or any insurance questions that you may have. Marie has been doing this for 22 years and is very knowledgeable on the subject. Much of the hassle and intimidation of going to a new office has been eliminated at Dr. Strubbe's office by Marie's cheerful nature and long experience in dealing with the forms and insurance requirements. After Marie has helped you, you will then see Dr. Strubbe. He will want to spend some time with you and discuss your health problems--how they began, any significant past medical history, auto injury or other trauma and many other things that could play a part in your health care.
You will be struck by the friendly and caring nature of Dr. Strubbe as he discusses with you your problems and history and begins to take a more in-depth look at your particular problems.
When both you and Dr. Strubbe are satisfied that he has a good idea of what your problems are, any significant past medical history, and any other important factors, Dr. Strubbe will then do an in depth evaluation with emphasis on neurologic problems. It may very well be the most in depth evaluation you have ever had at a doctor's office, whether it be a chiropractor or medical doctor. Because of his years of experience and extensive training, Dr. Strubbe will do a very specific and in depth evaluation.
Before you visit us for the first time, we do ask that you take the time to complete our New Patient Forms before you arrive. The information you provide on these forms will be extremely helpful in ascertaining the root of your condition and the path of your treatment. Also, please bring any prior x-rays or any diagnostic testing that you may have had in the past. This too can be very helpful. In some cases if the testing is recent enough, We may not have to re-do anything. When both you and Dr. Strubbe are satisfied that he has a good idea of your problems, any significant past medical history, and any other important factors, Dr. Strubbe will then do an in-depth evaluation with emphasis on neurologic problems. It may very well be the most in-depth evaluation you have ever had at a doctor's office, whether it be a chiropractor or medical doctor. Because of his years of experience and extensive training, Dr. Strubbe will do a very specific evaluation.
When Dr. Strubbe has finished with the evaluation, he will discuss his findings and diagnosis with you. He may deem it appropriate for you to be treated with physical therapy. Dr. Strubbe uses multiple types of physical therapy—Interferential Electrical Muscle Stimulation, Ultrasound, Decompression, ATM, Diathermy as well as hot packs or ice packs, These are all scientifically designed to produce specific effects on the human body and will be used according to the nature of your problem. There is a therapy suite outside the examination and treatment room. The therapy suite is divided into individual sections where, if therapy is performed on you, it will be done in a way that will completely respect your privacy.
There is also a separate room for massage, and often Dr. Strubbe feels it is necessary for patients with certain conditions to receive massage. There are many indications for massage and there are also several different types of massage that can be helpful for a wide variety of conditions. Many of the auto injuries that Dr. Strubbe sees respond very well to massage therapy. There is a licensed massage therapist on staff at Dr. Strubbe's office, and this licensed professional has worked with Dr. Strubbe for years as well.
Coming to Dr. Strubbe's office for treatment of an injury is the best move you can make. You will be cared for in a professional and caring manner. You will be impressed with the friendly and warm attitudes of the entire staff at Dr. Strubbe's office.
